From a storm a few weeks ago, a large widowmaker got hung-up in this cherry tree. Had to piece it out in small sections, to avoid damaging the client's surrounding trees, bushes, and landscape 🪵🍒

We often get asked why they're called widowmakers...💀

Widowmakers are broken limbs that are still lodged in the tree or in an adjacent tree after it breaks/partially falls.

The name "widowmaker" originates from these fallen/hung-up branches that have the potential to kill tree workers or other individuals....thus creating widows.
